The 37th annual meeting of the Society for Historians of the Early American Republic (SHEAR) will take place from
July 16 to 19, 2015, in Raleigh, North Carolina. The program is available online in two formats: as a PDF file and on a CrowdCompass website. The latter link allows one to find sessions by topic, including, for example, "Capitalism." Ten sessions appear under that heading, including a roundtable on "Capital, Space, and Culture: New Approaches to the Political Economy of the Early Republic." Other topics of interest include "Energy," "Labor," and "Maritime."
The presidential address will be delivered by Ann Fabian of Rutgers University.
For registration and other details, please see the SHEAR conference website.
