New position available: Lead Archivist – Manuscript Processing (term), The Winthrop Group

The Winthrop Group LEAD ARCHIVIST - MANUSCRIPT PROCESSING  The Lead Archivist, reporting to a Senior Archivist, will lead a team of processing archivists to arrange and describe a large volume of unique manuscript materials. #BHC2020 #BHCCharlotte Doctoral Colloquium

A new update has been posted on the BHC website: The 2020 BHC Doctoral Colloquium in Business History will be held in conjunction with the BHC annual meeting. This prestigious workshop, funded by Cambridge University Press, will take place in Charlotte Wednesday, March 11 and Thursday, March 12. Typically limited to ten students, the colloquium is open to early-stage doctoral candidates pursuing dissertation research within the broad field of business history, from any relevant discipline. Applications are due by 15 November 2019 via email to BHC@Hagley.org . Your application should include: a statement of interest; CV; preliminary or final dissertation prospectus (10-15 pages); and a letter of support from your dissertation supervisor (or prospective supervisor). The Department of Economic History at Lund University, Sweden, announces positions in our Ph.D. programme in Economic History. Two research projects are recruiting one Ph.D. candidate each. Both projects deal with long-term processes of economic change in Africa.  Deadline is April 29, 2019. African Elites: Wealth Accumulation and Persistence The primary focus is the analysis of the development of African elites in the informal (agrarian) sector. It is building on a previous project where we estimated income levels and groups size for income classes. Now we move forward explaining drivers of long-term trends of wealth accumulation, specifically the nexus between elites, colonial policies, and commercialization. PhD scholarships at the Department of Business and Economics, University of Southern Denmark

The University of Southern Denmark Department of Business and Economics invites students to apply to the Ph.D. program  that focuses on four areas of study:  Accounting; Finance; Microeconomics and Management Science and Econometrics and Economic History.
