  Call for BHC/AHA Roundtable 2022 Deadline July 15th As an affiliate group, the Business History Conference has the opportunity to create a roundtable for the AHA conference in 2022 outside of the normal proposal system. Next year, the AHA will be held in New Orleans, January 6-9, 2022 . The AHA does not allow virtual presentations so participants have to attend in-person. Please note: BHC members already planning to attend the AHA (and who may have a paper accepted), “can present on two panels in two different roles at the meeting,” according to AHA rules for affiliated societies. We invite BHC members to submit a roundtable proposal (250-word abstract + 2-page CV) on a business history topic.  The deadline for our consideration is July 15th .  Please email your submissions to Susie Pak, paks1@stjohns.edu .  We will review submissions quickly and thank you for your understanding.  BHC Liaison Committee : Susie Pak, Kari Zimmerman, and Susan Spellman.

All historians are welcome and encouraged to submit proposals. The AHA also invites historically focused proposals from colleagues in related disciplines and from AHA affiliated societies. The Program Committee will consider all proposals that advance the study, teaching, and public presentation of history. The Association seeks submissions on the histories of all places, periods, people, and topics; on the uses of diverse sources and methods, including digital history; and on theory and the uses of history itself in a wide variety of venues. The NEH-Hagley Fellowship on Business, Culture, and Society supports residencies at the Hagley Library in Wilmington, Delaware for junior and senior scholars whose projects make use of Hagley’s substantial research collections. Scholars must have completed all requirements for their doctoral degrees by the February 15 application deadline. In accordance with NEH requirements, these fellowships are restricted to United States citizens or to foreign nationals who have been living in the United States for at least three years. These fellowships are made possible by support from the National Endowment for the Humanities. Fellowships may be four to twelve months in length, and will provide a monthly stipend of $5000 and complimentary lodging in housing on Hagley’s property. The way societies organize themselves, in both public and private spheres, exhibits marked patterns across the range of developed and developing nations. The Economic History Society has decided to hold its 2021 conference in a virtual format. The conference will shift from its current dates (9-11 April) to 6 – 9 April 2021, and will be held in the afternoon (UK time). This will facilitate international participation, and prevent Zoom fatigue. Since the conference will now be a virtual one, we want to reissue the Call for Academic Papers and Sessions. We especially welcome papers from people who are not normally able to attend the conference.
