- On May 11, 2015, the London School of Economics hosted "Inequality in the Twenty-First Century: A Day Long Engagement with Thomas Piketty." Audio, video, and other materials from the meeting are available on the LSE website.
- In the June issue of the New York Review of Books, Piketty published a review of Anthony B. Atkinson, Inequality What Can Be Done? (Harvard University Press, 2015), under the title "A Practical Vision of a More Equal Society." Piketty has termed Atkinson "the Godfather of inequality research."
