The Economic History Association Arthur H. Cole Grant awards $5,000 to scholars who hold a Ph.D. to conduct research in economic history. Note that "Preference is given to recent Ph.D. recipients." Questions should be sent to Professor Angela Vossmeyer, chair of the Committee on Research in Economic History (angela.vossmeyer@cmc.edu). The deadline to send applications is March 1st. This is also the deadline for the EHA prizes: Gyorgy Ranki Biennial Prize ($1,200 for an outstanding book in European economic history), and the Lindert-Williamson Triennial Prize ($1,200 for an outstanding book in Global, African, Asian, Australian, and/or South American Economic History).
The deadline to apply for the Library Company of Philadelphia 2019-2010 call for applications for Short-term and Dissertation is March 1st. "The fellowships support on-site research on topics related to the collections of the Library Company and other local archives." There are approximately 25 short-term (usually one-month) fellowships for research in either or both collections, with a stipend of $2,000, for residencies between September 1, 2019, and May 31, 2020. The Albert M. Greenfield Foundation Dissertation Fellowship supports dissertation research at the Library Company, with a stipend of $20,000. The award may be divided between two applicants, each of whom would receive $10,000 for the period September 1, 2019, to January 15, 2020, or January 15 to May 31, 2020. Apply here.
The Call for Papers to participate in the VIII Congresso de História Ferroviária/VIII Congreso de Historia Ferroviaria is open until March 3. Send your proposal along with your name and affiliation information, a session title, and an abstract of approximately 250 words to secretario@asihf.org. The Associazione per la Storia Economica IV annual meeting will be next June 7-8, 2019, in Modena, Italy. To participate in the 2nd Economic History Workshop that will take place during the meeting, send a proposal before March 15th, 2019 to ase@sssup.it. The exploratory grant will fund proposals to stay up to two weeks at Hagley; or to spend eight weeks conducting research at the library, archival, pictorial, and artifact collections of the Hagley Museum and Library, send your applications for the Henry Belin du Pont research grants.
