H-Business seeks new editor
Overview
The new editor can reside in any country, but must be a member of the BHC. The editor will serve for a three-year term (with potential for renewal), to begin in late summer or early fall of 2020. No previous experience or technical knowledge is necessary; H-NET will train you how to use its content management system. This is an uncompensated position. The editor is appointed by the BHC Trustees on the recommendation of the Electronic Media Oversight Committee.
Duties
The editor will moderate posts from the list-serv’s membership, which includes announcements, calls for papers, job postings, fellowship / research opportunities, and discussions. The editor may also develop new features to engage the membership. The editor will approve new subscriptions and manage routine inquiries. Per the H-Net Commons bylaws, the Network editor is responsible for screening out material that, in the editor's opinion, is not germane to the network mission, is inflammatory, or violates evolving, yet common, standards of Internet etiquette.
Each year, the editor will make a written report to the EMOC of the network’s activities in a timely fashion prior to the Trustees’ annual meeting.
