Casey Marina Lurtz's From the Grounds Up Building an Export Economy in Southern Mexico (Stanford University Press) came out in April 2019.

Engines of Redemption: Railroads and the Reconstruction of Capitalism in the New South (The University of North Carolina Press) by R. Scott Huffard is out and will be available in paperback – December 2019.
Fruit from the Sands The Silk Road Origins of the Foods We Eat by Robert N. Spengler III was published in July 2019. The publisher's blog, University of California Press, featured the book and interviewed the author. Click here for access to the transcripts.
